Kathak is one of the most popular classical dance forms amongst the seven dance forms in India. In english the meaning of Kathak is storytelling. In this dance form the dancer tells the story through song, music, movements of hands and facial expressions. According to the literary records at Mithila Kameshwar library, Kathak had it’s origin in the 3rd or 4th century BC.
